Come and celebrate the VBAS’s 70th ‘birthday’!
(Registered as the Rocket City Astronomical Association in June of 1955.)
This event, at the beautiful Monte Sano Lodge in Monte Sano State Park (scheduled for Friday, Sep 26th 5:30 – 9 pm), will start with a social hour and silent auction surrounded by photos and achievements from our history, followed by an elegant buffet with salad, entrees and dessert. The program will include reminiscences, remarks, recognitions, awards, and more. If the skies are clear, we will set up a couple of telescopes! Dress is festive – astronomically themed attire, or smart business/cocktail. Tables seat 8.
